And I’m really not in the habit of letting things like that slide. Just I’ve never felt like plowing through the bullshit was worth it and I couldn’t ever figure out why this game has so much indie cred unless everyone is just pretending the horrible stuff doesn’t exist. I think the ‘Get 300 Arrowheads’ part was the first part I was playing where I genuinely felt like the game was being shitty and it cropped up a few times after that, which pretty much relegates the game to average instead of fantastic or awesome or great. They should have looked at that in playtesting and wondered what the hell possessed them to add it in the first place. I mean even with the delver it took me at least twenty or thirty minutes to get all the arrowheads. It still takes what I was doing as a player (enjoying the progression of the game through all the levels and stuff) and just plows into it with a freight train and side-tracks you by making you run around the camp collecting fucking arrowheads. I don’t know, maybe sometimes these designers just need reality checks. The level with the levitation ball was incredibly fun right after it, and it was based entirely around platforming. I always feel like the entire Shooting Gallery level could be cut and the game would be a hundred times better for it. The combat in this game was pretty fucking horrid. Like the platforming in this game was definitely its strong point. Consistently Awesome Game is a better selling point than Forty Hours of Gameplay. It’s bullshit like this that really makes me think people need to go through these games and just start cutting content just to make the whole thing better as a whole. ![]() One minute you’ll be doing something fucking awesome and the next minute you’re off hunting for THREE HUNDRED ARROWHEADS. ![]() I mean that’s my huge problem with the game though. Once I figured it out it was a lot better, but I always thought the highlight of the game was the Milkman level followed by the Napoleon level. Man the first time through Gogolor I wasn’t too thrilled with it, but that’s because I had stopped playing before I got to that level for a couple months and forgot all about my shield power.
